Caution - Is It Really a “Theory”?

For several decades deception has increased in the form of twisting or otherwise misusing words that once had a definite meaning. At the top of the list is the term “theory”.

It is part of the scientific vocabulary, and the correct meaning implies a well-tested hypothesis that has yielded considerable evidence as to its applicability and suitability for further research. Qualified scientists object strongly to the casual use of this word, because the meaning is very strict and is central to scientific inquiry.

Today the term is used recklessly in a purposeful attempt to mislead. A prime example is the so-called theory of evolution. The concept does not even approach the realm of science but is, in fact, a premise of Hinduism that Charles Darwin plagiarized from the Vedanta. The Vedanta is a Hindu philosophy based on the Vedas, or basic religious texts, of that religion.

The following is from “The Concept of Evolution in Hinduism”: Calcutta, The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, May 2002:

“All evolution is a movement from the undifferentiated state to differentiated states.

Vedanta recognizes the process of cosmic evolution from a homogeneous mass into a variety of phenomena. Life forms were initially single cell organisms gradually, they became multi-cellular and increasingly complex, culminating in the appearance of the human being. Vedanta does not accept any theory of special creation.

It accepts the theory of gradual evolution. Life begets life all living beings are derived from living things. They are not generated from non-living things—the assumption that by following certain mechanical processes Nature brings forth something out of inanimate objects is illogical and untenable.”

“Indeed,” states M.L. Burke, “the Hindus were Spinozists 2,000 years before the birth of Spinoza, Darwinians centuries before the birth of Darwin, and evolutionists many centuries before the doctrine of evolution had been accepted by the Huxleys of our time, and before any word like evolution existed in any language of the world.” (M. L. Burke, Swami Vivekananda in the West, Vol. 2, third ed., Mayavati: Advaita Ashrama, 1984, p. 128. Also, Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda, Vol. IX, p. 25)

You can find out more about the non-Christian belief in evolution by reading these materials than you can from Darwin s “Origin of the Species.” So here is a case of a previously unnoticed man with no major achievements becoming famous by bodily lifting portions of an ancient religion and presenting the material as science.

Amazingly to many, the educational community has embraced this fraud to the extent of teaching the subject as science and insisting, with legislative support, on making it basic to the curricula in school systems throughout America.

Why is the concept of evolution so vile to Christians? It is because it lays the foundation for the belief in reincarnation: that the soul is recycled after physical death. If the soul lives on and on and simply changes residence, then why is there any need for a savior?

Exponents would have you believe that the world was not created by God, through His Son, but that the universe and all living things simply evolved on their own. They would have you believe that the passion of the Christ was less than nothing. But Christians believe otherwise:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.

Through Him all things were made without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.” (John 1: 1-5, New International Version of the Bible)

A similar misuse of the term has been widespread in the fields of psychiatry and psychology since their inception. Freud s so-called theories surrounding psychoanalysis were nothing more than notions dreamed up while he was addicted to cocaine. Personality theories, theories of psychotherapy, and theories of psychopathology are simply unproven ideas.

When a distressed person seeks help from a doctor in one of these disciplines, he or she expects to be helped by scientific knowledge. Instead, the patient is treated with favored opinions which suit the style of the therapist.

I will add that the world has refused to understand this light and has chosen to embrace the darkness-now more than ever, and men will increasingly close their eyes and ears to the truth.
